What He Means

if there is grace in this world
if there is life on this earth
let us use it
let us see it
starting right now

can we be down with ourselves
respectful and mindful of one, of one another
your significant other, your sister, your brother

peace, love, more tolerance
faith, hope, trust in the same name of god
peace, love, more tolerance
faith, hope, trust in the same god in whose name we die for
take an innocent life for
that's not what he means
and it doesn't matter what book you read

is there a leaf, a prayer
cause judging and hearing your way
a weight on our minds to bear
a shame on our heads to wear

where is salvation in love
now that we have what we want
now that we have our world

peace, love, more tolerance
faith, hope, trust in the same god in whose name we die for
take an innocent life for
that's not what he means
and it doesn't matter what book you read

with a little bit of peace and a little bit of calm
acceptance is the key to all we know
what about a stir of compassion and lenience
what about some understanding
what about some sympathy

peace, love, more tolerance
faith, hope, trust in the same god in whose name we die for
take an innocent life forthat's not what he means
and it doesn't matter what book you read

freedom, kindness, warmth, deliverance
comfort, mostly redemption, redemption

peace, love, more tolerance
faith, hope, trust in the same god in whose name we die for
take an innocent life forthat's not what he means
and it doesn't matter what book you read

Things Who Strengthens Me

To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose. The earth spins at a 1000 miles an hour as we desperately try to keep from falling off. Like the first blush that winter signals a good migration, is there any warning of their arrival? A sign. A single event that set the chain into motion? Was it a whisper in God’s ear? Survive. Adopt. Escape. And if we could mark that single moment in time. That first hint of the prophecy of approaching danger. Would we have done anything differently? Or is it been stopped? Or is the die a long ago cast? And if we could go back after its cause to stop it from happening. Would we?

Philippians 4:13 --- I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.

Risk Everything, Regret Nothing

Yesterday was just amazing, it felt if I live in this fairytale. After a really tough week, I just need that me-time. So I risk everything and went snowboarding...my wrist still a little stiff, just taped it up with a bandage from ski-patrol and I'm ready to go. That was the most amazing feeling, going down that trials, it's snowing the same time as the sun is shining, a true miracle. I felt so close to God. He made me smile from ear to ear!!

That was good quiet time, a pray, and talked to God while I'm in this beautiful nature of ours, snow and sun, can you ask for more?? That truly was a "regret nothing" day!

That reminds me of Zephaniah 3: 17 "The Lord, your God is with you, he is mighty to save. he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing."

The Weight Is A Gift

I'm listening to this song by Nada Surf called, "Always Love" and there's this lyric..."To make a mountain of your life is just a choice." How true is that, lately I've been making mine into Mount Everest. There's a lot of stuff happening and I've been letting it get to me. Have you ever had something that you just knew it was true, so then you never wondered about - it just is, and then all of sudden, it turns out to be a lie?

So Nada Surf was like that for me. There's this cd called, "The Weight Is A Gift." It's been on my iPod like forever, I really, really like that song, "Always Love." I got this theory that there's two kinds of people in the world: There are lyric people and music people. You know, the lyric people tend to be "analytical," all about the meaning of the song. They're the ones you see with the CD insert out like five minutes after buying it, pouring over the lyrics... interpreting everything. Then there's the music people, who could care less obout the lyrics, just as long as it's got like, a good beat and you could dance to it. I don't know, sometimes it might be easier to be a music girl and not a lyric girl, but since I'm not, let me just say this: sometimes things find you when you need them to find you. I believe that. And for me, it's usually song lyrics.

So... I'm in the middle of a good life, but a rough few days/weeks and what shows up among all this stuff ? A Nada Surf album called, "The Weight Is A Gift." Weight like, W-E-I-G-H-T weight, as in heaviness. And just like that, I'm reminded that - you know what, it's probably gonna be okay. If it doesn't kill me - and it won't, then it'll make me stronger. So listen, I don't know anything about your world, wow I barely know about mine but if you're carrying around something difficult or something that nobody seems to see or get or can help you with... just remember: The weight is a gift, and we're not going out like that.
