Show me a child who cannot see,
and I will show you a child
who paints the wings of a butterfly
Show me a child who cannot hear,
and I will show you a child
who knows the songs of the rainbow
Show me a child who cannot speak,
and I will show you a child
whose heart sings poetry
Show me a child who cannot learn
and I will show you a child
who understands the cry of the fish eagle
Because we all, despite our limitations,
carry within us our own magic and mastery,
gifts trapped within an unlocked box,
if only we could discover them.
