Who is this Jesus who we put our faith in?

He is light, love, longevity, and He is Lord. He is goodness, kindness, gentleness, and He is God. He is Holy, Righteous, mighty, powerful, and pure. His ways are right, His word is eternal, His will is unchanging, and His mind is on me! He is my redeemer, He is my savior, He is my guide, He is my peace, He is my Joy, He is my comfort, He is my Lord and He rules my life.

I serve Him because His burden is light, His bond is love, and He fills me with abundant life. I follow Him because He is the wisdom of the wise, the power of the powerful, the ancient of days, the ruler of rulers, the leader of leaders, the overseer of the overcomers, and the sovereign Lord of all that was, is and is to come. And if that seems impressive to you, try this for size. His goal is a relationship with ME! He will never leave me, forsake me, mislead me, or forget me!

When I fall, He lifts me up. When I fail, He forgives me. When I am weak, He is strong. When I am lost, He is The Way. When I am afraid, He is my courage. When I stumble, He steadies me. When I am hurt, He heals me. When I am broken, He mends me. When I am blind, He leads me. When I am hungry, He feeds me. When I face trials, He is with me, When I face persecution, He stills me. When I face problems, He comforts me. When I face loss, He provides for me. When I face Death, He will carry me Home! He is everything for everybody, everywhere, every time, and in every way. He is God, He is faithful, I am His, and He is mine.

Little Pleasures

Thinking back to the past few weeks make me smile, I know it's God's way to take care of me and keep reminding me how wicked cool He is. Last weekend i went to this Farmers Market, in the middle of the city, and oh boy did I feel like a tourist in my own country. As you stroll through the place, you can taste about anything from any country: Chinese, Thai etc etc. I walked into this very small little coffee shop and yeah by the smell of that, I guess Starbucks need to learn a thing or two. We had coffee at this gorgeous shop and with the comfy couches they've got hanging chairs. Definitely worth a try...And as the days went by, I stayed over at a very good friend of mine, and we bake some choc chip cookies, they real big, soft American ones, with chocolate, choc chips and other chocolaty things. (what you won't do to not study). God, Chocolate cookies, Chocolate, A Good Friend and Nice Long Chats, I don't think you can get closer to heaven that that! But maybe.... with this everlasting rain here in Cape Town and freezing temperatures, snow on the mountains I saw something amazing...A Double Rainbow (Yeah at first I thought I was crazy, so I had to Google it to see if something like that is possible...from working with kids everyday, your mind can get off track sometimes!!) In the picture, look closely on the left of the rainbow and you'll spot the other one. I'm just truly thankful that my life is blessed with Little Pleasures like this every day of my life.

Aquarium Fun

Today I was really blessed to see a group of autistic children enjoy the wonders of the Aquarium. Screams and shouts of excitement when the big sharks and sea turtle swam by can't be described in words. I felt like a little girl again, and oh boy didn't that feel good?

I went to the aquarium,
And in a tank so dark,
I saw a smooth and swimmy shape,
And knew it was a shark.

I went to the aquarium,
And through a wall of glass,
I saw that shark and thought—
Oh! What a lot of teeth he has!

He swam around so quietly,
He swam around so quick—
I'm awfully glad,
That his tank had
That wall of glass, so thick!
